Sheriff's Department Plans To Help Again During Annual Spring Clean Up Day

The Sheriff's Department is teaming up again with several city and county agencies next month to help our local citizens get rid of old medicines again this year. This year we have extended our program to include old, or unused ammunition.

We should be able to accept most any types of small arms, and rifle ammunition.

If you have any type of large ammunition, very old ammunition, or some type of weapon or device that you come across during your spring cleaning, and you are not sure it is safe for transport, please give us a call at 444-4719 so we can discuss it before you bring it to Spring Clean Up Day.

Last year, we collected several thousands of old or unused pills that were disposed of properly instead of getting into the hands of small children or flushed into our local water systems. We hope to do even better this year.

See you there!
