Deputy Steve Croft and K-9 Officer Pepo Visit Morgan Elementary

October 30, 2009

On Friday Oct. 30th, Deputy Steve Croft and K-9 Officer Pepo visited Morgan Elementary Kindergarten through 2nd grade students to talk with them about Halloween safety. Dep. Croft and Pepo also gave a presentation on what a K-9 does, and how they fight crime as a team.

The students had a great time getting to know Dep. Croft and Pepo, and they really enjoyed the Halloween visit this morning according to Kim Davidson, the Arts & Humanities Teacher at Morgan Elementary, who was instrumental in setting up this visit today.

"Many of our students are so used to seeing the negative side, it is important to let them know that police officers are our friends."

Dep. Croft and Pepo have only been together for a short time, but they have already become a formidable K-9 team in the area due to several drug busts in the past few months.
