Sgt. J.T. Coleman Receives Training Award

Commissioner John W. Bizzack presents Sgt. J.T. Coleman with the Academy of Police Supervision award.
On August 22, 2008 Sgt. J.T. Coleman graduated the Department of Criminal Justice Training's Academy of Police Supervision. The class is one of the most innovative training programs in the nation, designed to give police officers the basic skills and leadership tools needed to successfully make the transition from officer to the role of first line supervisor. Sgt. Coleman learned teamwork and team building skills as well as problem solving, diversity management, conflict resolution and public speaking.
Sgt. Coleman is the first Sergeant from the McCracken County Sheriff Department to attend the Police Supervision class offered by D.O.C.J.T under Sheriff Jon Hayden.
