Re: Indecent Exposure Investigation
Over the past several weeks, several reports have been called in to the sheriff's department concerning a man exposing himself at area drive thru type restaurants from his vehicle, including ones near Kentucky Oaks Mall.
Sheriff's investigators were able to identify the suspect by vehicle descriptions given, partial license plate, and other information. Detectives also learned that the suspect was a Cairo Illinois resident. On June 11, 2007 at about 2:00PM, the suspect was arrested at the McCracken County Sheriff Office on an arrest warrant that had been secured by sheriff's officers.
During the subsequent interviews, the suspect openly admitted to the illegal acts, including some un-reported ones. Additional charges were taken against the man for other offenses.
"Many of these restaurant jobs are being worked by our area teenage children. This is certainly not acceptable conduct, and we will encourage the local county attorneys office to prosecuted him to the fullest extent of the law."
The suspect was charged this date with (2) Two Counts of Incedent Exposure. This charge is a Class B misdemeanor which carries a penalty of 90 days in jail and/or a $250.00 fine.
Arrested: Crawford, Joshua P. 21 yoa of Cairo, Illinois
Charges: Two (2) Counts of Indecent Exposure
Additional Charges possible pending further investigation.
The suspect was lodged at the McCracken County Regional Jail.
