Re: Criminal Mischief Complaints
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Lone Oak Police and McCracken Sheriff's Departments are both investigating a recent rash of criminal mischief in and around the Lone Oak area.
Over this past weekend, (7) seven mailboxes were either damaged or destroyed on Oaklawn Drive which is located near Rolling Hills.
Last night (July 4th), there was a considerable amount of criminal mischief reported at the Rolling Hills Country Club. Suspect(s) spray painted graffiti in a restroom, and at other locations.
Also occurring last night was another string of mailbox vandalism which happened along North Friendship Road near Holt Road, and also on Olivet Church Road. That involved an additional (7) seven mailboxes.
"We suspect that these acts are those of young people who probably do not realize or have thought how these acts affect the homeowners. Some of these residents are older and may not be physically able to repair or replace their mailboxes. "
Anyone with information about these recent acts of vandalism, are asked to contact law enforcement.
