Re: Hwy. 60 Accident

A single vehicle accident involving a 1990 Ford Taurus sent a Kevil man to the hospital this afternoon. Gonzalo R. Gonzalez, 40, stated that he was West bound on Hwy. 60 in the area of Maxon Rd when his passenger car began to hydroplane and he lost control. Based on statements and evidence at the scene, Deputy Greg Moyers was able to determine that Mr. Gonzales' car then traveled into the median where it rolled over at least once and landed upright in the East bound lanes of traffic. The East bound lanes of traffic on Hwy. 60 were closed for approximately 1 hour. Mr. Gonzales had to be extricated with the Jaws of Life by Concord Firefighters. He was treated and transported by Mercy Regional EMS to Lourdes Hospital for treatment of possible head injuries.
