Re: Burglary Suspect in Custody
A 13 year old McCracken County resident is facing multiple felony charges after a burglary was reported at an apartment complex in Reidland. The occupant of the apartment at 118 Rac-Mer Court returned home on Friday to find her apartment had been vandalized. She informed Deputies that she had not been there since Wednesday and that as soon as she noticed the damage she called the Sheriff's Department. Deputies found the walls and ceiling had been spray painted. Someone had also punched multiple holes in the walls throughout the residence. The victim also reported that her television had been taken from her apartment. A canvas of the complex led Deputies to a home a short distance away where they found the suspect and several items that had been taken from the residence. The victim contacted and brought to the suspects residence where she identified the items that Deputies recovered as being her personal property. The suspect was lodged in the McCracken County Juvenile Detention Center with charges of Burglary 2nd Degree, Criminal Mischief 1st Degree and Theft by Unlawful Taking over $300.00 against him. The case is still open as other arrest are possible.
