Re: Injury Accident on Lone Oak Road



At 1:45 P.M. Deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Lone Oak Rd. and John E. Robinson Dr. for a motor vehicle accident with injuries. Upon arrival Deputies found two vehicles in the roadway causing a traffic problem. The South bound traffic was reduced to one lane for approximately thirty minutes until the scene was cleared up. The investigation revealed that a 1999 Ford F-150 driven by Owen Lynn, 78, of Paducah was South bound on Lone Oak Rd. when another vehicle pulled into his path. The driver of the 2000 Mercury Cougar Shantell M. Collins, 21, of Water Valley stated that she did not remember what happened. Her passenger Jesse Young, 27, of Paducah stated that the passenger car that he was ridding in stopped on John E. Robinson Dr. at the intersection of Lone Oak Rd. and was hit in the drivers door by Mr. Lynn's truck. Miss Collins was treated and transported to Western Baptist Hospital by Mercy Regional EMS. Her condition was unknown at the time of this press release.
