Re: Injury Accident In Farley

 

The McCracken County Sheriff Department worked a 2 vehicle injury accident in the 2200 block of Homewood ave, in the Farley Community. A lawn tractor being driven by Charles Anderson 36 years old of Paducah was stopped by police for driving on the roadway with no lights or other warning equipment while pulling a home-made trailer also with no lights or warning equipment. The trailer was occupied by 1 adult Cory Martin 20 of Paducah, and 1 juvenile 14 year old Toni Ferrell also Paducah. Ms. Ferrell was transported by ambulance to Western Baptist hospital for evaluation of minor injuries. Mr. Anderson was transported by ambulance to Lourdes where he complained of a laceration to the arm and back pain. Mr. Martin was uninjured. They received injuries when the tractor and the trailer they were riding was rear-ended by a passenger car driven by 26 year old Michael Willingham of Paducah. Mr. Willingham said he had been distracted by the police car and failed to see the tractor and trailer on the roadway, his vehicle remained in service. The tractor and the trailer was removed from the scene by the owner. The roadway was closed for approximately 20 mins. Mr. Anderson was investigated for alcohol intoxication.
