On 09/27/07, Eyliene E. Janeway was arrested for Criminal Abuse 1st. On 09/24/07 the McCracken County Sheriff Department responded to the Janeway residence on Said Road. The call was in reference to her 10 month old son. The Janeway's stated he had fallen from the lap of their daughter. The distance the baby fell was two feet. The baby was taken to Western Baptist Hospital and then flown to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Nashville,TN. The fall was not consistent with the injuries the baby received according to Medical Doctors at Vanderbilt Hospital. Mrs. Janeway did talk with Detectives at Western Baptist Hospital, other family members were asked by Detectives about what happened that night also. Mrs. Janeway was interviewed at the McCracken County Sheriff's Department along with her husband on 09/27/07, after interviews with other family members, the parents, and speaking with the Commonwealth Attorney, it was decided to charge Mrs. Janeway with Criminal Abuse 1st. Mrs. Janeway was arrested at 1754 hours at a residence in McCracken County. She was taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail, no bond allowed at this time. The baby was released from Vanderbilt on 09/27/07, he will have follow up visits with the primary Physician in Paducah and follow up visits to Vanderbilt Hospital. The baby was placed in Foster Care. I was assisted by Social Service's.
