Re: Injury Accident in the 4800 Block of Lovelaceville Road
At 11:49 A.M. the Sheriff's Department responded to a single vehicle accident on Lovelaceville in the area of North Gum Springs Rd. When Deputies arrived they found Lone Oak Firefighters treating two patients for their injuries. The driver, 36 yr. old Jamey L. Snyder of Paducah was still in the sports car and was carried from the creek bed where the car had come to rest. He sought treatment at Western Baptist Hospital for several apparent minor injuries. The passenger, Adam Finke, 21, also of Paducah was ambulatory, but was taken to Lourdes hospital complaining of back pain.
According to the driver, his car bottomed out when he crossed a small bridge and his car began to fish tail. The vehicle crossed the center line and traveled down an embankment. It continued through a small field where it struck several small trees and fell into the creek bed. A witness stated that the car was traveling at a high rate of speed at the time of the accident. This statement was consistent with evidence at the scene. Both occupants were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.
