Re: Search leads to 3 arrest and large Cocaine seizure

A joint investigation between the McCracken County Sheriff Department's Drug Division and the Paducah Police Department's D.A.V.E Unit lead to a search warrant being executed at 1400 North 12th Street in Paducah.

Detectives executed the warrant at 18:28 on December 6, 2007. A search of the residence revealed several hundred dollars in US currency, Marijuana, and items of drug paraphernalia inside the residence.

While detectives searched inside the residence other detectives began a search of the exterior part of the residence. Detectives located over 3 ounces of Crack Cocaine and a set of digital scales with Cocaine residue in side a hole that had been dug under the edge of the side walk beside the home.

"It is not uncommon to see individuals take desperate measures to attempt to prevent law enforcement from locating narcotics. Due to good communication between agencies and the review of intelligence gathered throughout this investigation officers were able to locate the drugs". Det. Sgt. Matt Carter

This investigation had been ongoing for quite sometime between the McCracken County Sheriff's Department, Paducah Police, and the ATF. The Kentucky State Police also assisted with the search.

A juvenile, whom was present at the home when the warrant was executed was released to family members. The three (3) adults were arrested and transported to the McCracken County Regional Jail.

The Cocaine recovered in this case has an estimated street value in excess of $9000.00.
