Re: Farley Man Arrested On Drug Trafficking Charges
The McCracken County Sheriff Department Drug Division opened an investigation on Steven Ellis after receiving information that he was involved in illegal drug (Marijuana) sells from his home located on Vassuer Avenue in the Farley area of McCracken County. The investigation lead detectives to obtaining a search warrant for this residence.
On January 6, 2008 at 01:10 a.m. detectives executed the search warrant at Ellis residence. A search of the home revealed a quantity of Marijuana, scales, baggies that were being used to package the Marijuana for sales, Methamphetamine, Cocaine, and several items of drug paraphernalia. Detectives also recovered several hundred dollars in US currency.
Ellis later confessed to detectives that he had been selling Marijuana for the past several months adding that he was using this activity to help support his income.
Ellis was arrested and transported to the McCracken County Regional Jail.

CHARGES: Trafficking In Marijuana Within 1000 Yards Of A School (Farley Elementary)
Possession Of A Controlled Substance First Degree (Methamphetamine)
Possession Of A Controlled Substance First Degree (Cocaine)
Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia 1st Offense
All charges are Class D Felonies and carry a penalty of 1-5 years in prison with the exception of the drug paraphernalia charge. The drug paraphernalia 1st offense is a Class A misdemeanor and carries a penalty of up to one year imprisonment.
