Re: Auto accident with injuries
A two vehicle auto accident @ 2:25 pm on North Friendship Road at the intersection with Buckner Lane resulted in injuries to four area residents.
Christa Thomasson (unit 1), age 29 of Paducah, was traveling south on North Friendship Road in a 1996 Ford Taurus. As she approached the intersection of Buckner she veered into the northbound lane and struck a 1999 Chevy Venture mini van operated by Earnest Wilkie (unit 2), age 52 of Paducah, who had just pulled onto North Friendship from Buckner Lane. At this time deputies are unsure why Thomasson veered into the northbound lane. Seatbelt usage is unknown pending an interview with Thomasson.
Passengers in the Wilkie vehicle (unit 2) were Carrie Dorman, age 26 of Paducah and Judy Gordon, age 62 of Paducah. All occupants of the Wilkie vehicle had seatbelts on.
All involved parties were transported to local hospitals by Mercy Regional EMS. No charges filed at this time.
The accident is being investigated by Deputy Malcolm Couch. Concord Fire Department assisted at the scene.
