Re: Drug Trafficking Arrest

An undercover drug investigation has led to the arrest of a McCracken County man on Marijuana trafficking charges.
On Friday night at approximately 11:21PM, the suspect was arrested after he sold a 1/4 of a pound of Marijuana on the parking lot of the Five Star gas station located at 4709 Alben Barkley Drive.
After taking the suspect into custody sheriffs detectives recovered an additional quantity of Marijuana, an undisclosed amount of US currency, items of drug paraphernalia, and an open alcoholic beverage out of the suspects vehicle.
The suspects was transported to the McCracken County Sheriff Department where
he admitted to trafficking
(selling) in Marijuana and stated that this activity had been taking place for
the past approximate two (2) months.
Suspects was later transported to the McCracken County Regional Jail.
ARRESTED: Scowden, Sean D. 22 years of age
Of Blandville Road Paducah, Ky
CHARGES: Trafficking In Marijuana Within 1000 Yards Of A School (Paducah Community College)
Possession Of Marijuana Under 8 Ounces
Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia 1st Offense
Possession Of An Open Alcoholic Beverage In A Motor Vehicle
Trafficking In Marijuana Within 1000 Yards Of A School is a class D Felony and punishable up to 5 years in prison.
