Re: Highland Church Road

At 8:58 P.M. the Sheriff's Office received a call to investigate a single vehicle accident in the 1000 block of Highland Church Road. Upon arrival Deputies found a severely damaged 2006 Honda Ridgeline with a single occupant resting against a tree. It was determined that prior to the accident the SUV was East bound and was exiting a curve when the driver lost control. The vehicle became sideways and slid into the opposing ditch where the passengers side impacted with a large tree.

The driver, 17 year old Cody E. Brown of Paducah was taken to Lourdes Hospital by Mercy Regional EMS for treatment of his injuries. Deputies were not able to get a statement from the driver about the accident, but believe that speed and wet pavement to be contributing factors in the accident. ***END***
