
Two Separate Drug Investigations Lead To Four Arrest
The McCracken County Sheriff Department Drug Division received information alleging Jason Andrew of 920 South 21st Street in Paducah, to be selling Marijuana. An investigation by sheriff's detectives resulted in a search warrant being obtained for the residence at 920 South 21st Street and was executed on 05/07/08 at 17:53. Detectives, who were conducting surveillance on the residence prior to the execution of the search warrant observed the suspect, Jason Andrew, leaving the residence in a 1998 GMC truck that was registered to Andrew's. Andrew's was subsequently stopped and a search of his vehicle revealed a quantity of Marijuana, scales, prescription controlled substance (Oxycontin) and an undisclosed amount of US Currency. A search of the residence revealed an additional quantity of Marijuana and items of drug paraphernalia. Detectives also located John Riepe, who was wanted on an outstanding McCracken County Arrest Warrant, inside the residence.
The investigation showed that Andrew had been utilizing the 1998 GMC truck to make Marijuana and pill deliveries in, therefore the vehicle was seized. The investigation also revealed that Andrew's had been trafficking in both Marijuana and controlled substance pills (Oxycontin). Some of the transactions occurred with 1000 yards of Tilghman High School.
Jason Andrew and John Riepe were both arrested and transported to the McCracken County Regional Jail.
A separate investigation resulted in sheriff's detectives obtaining information pertaining to the delivery of Marijuana to a residence in this same area. This investigation alerted detectives to Richard Tapp Jr. alleging going to deliver a quantity of Marijuana to an individual at there residence. Surveillance on the residence revealed the vehicle in question (2005 Ford Taurus) driven by Mr. Tapps wife, Suzanne Tapp, pull up to the location in question and remain stationary at the arranged drop location for a short period of time. A traffic stop of the vehicle was conducted by detectives on 05/07/08 at 22:12. A search of the vehicle revealed a quantity of Marijuana, controlled substance pills, and items of drug paraphernalia which included a Marijuana residue digital scale.
Both Richard Tapp Jr. and Suzanne Tapp were arrested and transported to the McCracken County Regional Jail. Richard Tapp Jr. was out on bond for drug and gun charges stemming from a July 2007 investigation which was conducted by the McCracken County Sheriff Department Drug Division.
