
Undercover Drug Operation Leads To Two Arrest
The McCracken County Sheriff Department Drug Division conducted an undercover operation after an investigation revealed that a Marijuana sell was going to take place in the area known as the Farley Four Way. Detectives set up surveillance in the area and was observing for a 1990 Honda. The investigation revealed that the vehicle would be occupied by Ashley Francis and Jakob Hernandez.
On 05/14/08 at 19:04 p.m. sheriff's detectives observed the vehicle parked on a parking lot in this area. A short time later detectives observed another male subject approach and make a hand to hand exchange that was consistent with a drug transaction. When detectives approached they determined that Ashley Francis had sold a quantity of Marijuana to an individual on the parking lot.
A warrant check of the passenger of the vehicle, Jakob Hernandez, revealed him to have an outstanding McCracken County arrest warrant. Both Francis and Hernandez was arrested and transported to the McCracken County Regional Jail without incident.
