An injury accident involving two vehicles occurred at approx 1235 hrs on Metropolis Lake Road.

23 year old Andrew Farmer of Paducah, and a passenger, 22 year old Jessie Cannon of Boaz were traveling South on Metropolis Lake Road in Grahamville. 36 year old James Staples and his 4 year old son, both of West Paducah, were Northbound on Metropolis Lake Road. Mr. Staples vehicle crossed the center line and collided head on with Farmers vehicle.

West McCracken Fire and Rescue responded and provided extrication and initial medical treatment for the victims. Mr. Farmer was transported to Baptist ER and all other involved parties were transported to Lourdes ER by Mercy Regional Ambulance.

A cell phone is a believed factor in this collision.
