Injury Accident Closes Blandville Road indefinitely.

At 9:25 P.M. the Sheriff's Office received a call to an injury accident involving an overturned tractor trailer. Prior to Deputies arrival, Central Dispatch informed them that the roadway was completely blocked by a 2006 Kenworth that was hauling food products. Deputy Ray Smith investigated the accident. The driver, Ronald Brown Jr., 42, of Fort Hood, Texas stated that he was East bound on U.S. 62 and that his passengers side front wheel dropped of the roadway. This caused him to loose control of the vehicle and overturn. Mr. Brown stated he had moved over as he was meeting a West bound vehicle. He was transported to Lourdes for apparent minor injuries to his leg and neck. Blandville Rd. remains closed at this hour while crews are working to right the truck. The Sheriff's Department was assisted with traffic and medical care of the driver by the Concord Fire Department. The Kentucky Department of Vehicle Enforcement was called to the scene to inspect the commercial vehicle.
