One-vehicle accident in Reidland sends one to area hospital
On Friday (July 25) afternoon at about 5:00PM, McCracken Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to the area of Ky Hwy 131 (also known as Said Road), at the intersection of Greenfield Drive.
The investigation into the accident revealed that 17 year old Aaron Lervese was northbound on Said Road driving a 2000 model Nissan pickup. As he was approaching the intersection of Greenfield Drive, his vehicle had crossed the centerline. Lervese overcorrected leaving the roadway striking a culvert. The vehicle then rolled several times. The driver was wearing a seatbelt.
Assisting at the scene were both the Reidland Farley Fire Department and Mercy Regional Ambulance Service. Mr. Lervese was seriously injured and was transported from the scene to Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah.
McCracken County Deputy Michael Wray investigated the accident.
