Shortly after four o'clock this afternoon, Sheriff Deputies were dispatched to a two vehicle collision with entrapment. The collision happened near the 5000 block of Old Mayfield Road. A 1991 Chevrolet pick up driven by a Jesse Stapleton from 2660 Geibe Road in Paducah. was traveling North on Old Mayfield Road when a vehicle in front of him started to make a turn. Mr. Stapleton stated that he could not stop in time and turned his vehicle into the path of a vehicle that was traveling South on Old Mayfield Road. Both vehicles hit head on. The second vehicle was a 2004 Kia, driven by a Nicole Straw from 3219 Delaware St. in Paducah. She also had a passenger in the vehicle, a Daniel Dickerson from New York. Ms. Straw had to be extracted from her vehicle, she was trapped for about twenty minutes. Lone Oak Fire Department freed her with the jaws of life. All three patients were transported to Lourdes Hospital.
