Paducah Couple Charged With Drug Trafficking

 

The McCracken County Sheriff's Department Drug Division received information alleging illegal drug activity to be occurring at 1040 Avondale Road, located in the Forest Hills area of Paducah. On 08/09/08 at 11:20 a.m. Deputies Michael Wary and Jason Walters went to the residence to investigate the complaint. The investigation lead to the deputies conducted a search of the residence. Inside the residence deputies located over 2 ounces of Marijuana that was packaged in three separate baggies, along with two sets of scales one of which contained Marijuana residue on them, and a 357 caliber semiautomatic handgun.

 

Only one of the residence was home at the time of the search. This individual was identified as being Alisha Burgess. Burgess was transported to the sheriff's department where she was interviewed by drug detectives. During the interview Burgess admitted that she has sold Marijuana in the past for her boyfriend adding she has been with him on occasions when he sold Marijuana. Burgess boyfriend was identified as being Laroyce Flemons.

 

Detectives then attempted to locate Flemons and was successful in locating him later this same date at his residence. Flemons was transported to the sheriff's department where he admitted to Marijuana trafficking in a video taped interview with detectives and claimed ownership of most of the items that were recovered from the residence.

 

Both Flemons and Burgess were arrested and transported to the McCracken County Regional Jail.
