Suspect Charged in an additional residential burglary and possession of a stolen firearm

On 08/13/08, Brian E. Ferguson was charged with a burglary to a residence on Concord Ave in McCracken County, receiving stolen property (firearm).

On 08/04/08, Illinois authorities were involved in a vehicle pursuit that led into McCracken County. Kentucky authorities joined in the pursuit which ended the area behind Kohl's Department Store. The pursuit continued on foot until officers lost sight of the suspect, Brian Ferguson.

Upon further investigation, it was discovered that during the pursuit, Ferguson dropped a handgun, which was later identified to be stolen from a residence in Massac County, Illinois.

Further investigation showed that after authorities lost sight of Ferguson, he later broke into a residence on Concord Ave and changed clothes, leaving with the clothing belonging to the residence.

 

Graves County Sheriff's Department served the warrants for McCracken County Sheriff's Department.

 

Suspect: Brian E. Ferguson, 36, Murray, Ky.

Charges:

Burglary 2nd degree

Receiving stolen property (Firearm)
