Lone Oak Home Invasion Suspect Apprehended
A Paducah man wanted in connection to a May 06, 2008 home invasion near Lone Oak was arrested today after a tip was forwarded to the Mayfield Police Department as to his whereabouts.
On May 06, 2008 a home invasion was reported to the McCracken County Sheriff's Department that had occurred at a Lone Oak area apartment complex located near the intersection of Lutes Road and Highland Church Road. During the home invasion, the resident was assaulted and also reported that one of the suspects was armed with a pistol. During the struggle that ensued, the suspect hit the victim in the face with the firearm. The firearm also discharged during the struggle.
Sheriff's detectives were able to identify one of the suspects (Patrick K. Owens Jr. aka: PK) and an arrest warrant was issued on May 14, 2008.
Since the arrest warrants were issued, the sheriff's department have been following-up on numerous leads and tips. A tip that had been called into crime stoppers, was forwarded to the Mayfield Police Department this morning that contained information as to the suspect's possible whereabouts.
At about 12:47PM this afternoon, Mayfield Police Officers located and arrested Patrick K. Owens Jr. at 510 Brookside Drive in Mayfield. He was transported back to the McCracken County Sheriff's Department were he processed, then lodged at the McCracken County Regional Jail. His bond has been set at $57,000 dollars cash.
The investigation is continuing in identifying the second suspect.
