
Kevil Man Arrested On Marijuana Cultivation Charges
The McCracken County Sheriff Department Drug Division received information alleging that a Kevil man was growing Marijuana at his home located at 9720 Old Hinkleville Road. Detectives determined as a result of the investigation that James "Mike" Stowe in whom resided at this location had Marijuana plants growing around some thickets which were located on the backside of his property. Detectives obtained a search warrant for the residence and property, subsequently executing the warrant on 08/21/08 at approximately 14:00. Detectives located five (Marijuana) plants growing behind the residence. Inside mobile homes that were located on the property detectives seized homegrown processed Marijuana, grow lights, multiple paraphernalia exhibits, thousands of Marijuana seeds, one (1) semi automatic 380 caliber handgun, one (1) Ruger 40 caliber semi automatic rifle, and other related items. Detectives determined through the investigation Stowe had utilized the indoor grow in the past and had produced approximately two dozen Marijuana plants.
Stowe was arrested and transported to the McCracken County Regional Jail.

Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia
All charges were firearm enhanced. Cultivating Marijuana 5 or more plants with a firearm enhancement is a Class C Felony and punishable up to 10 years in prison.
