Mother And Boyfriend Arrested On Unlawful Transaction Charges

 

The McCracken County Sheriff Department Drug Division received information that alleged Marijuana was being grown in a fence row on the property of 2862 Poole Road. On 08/26/08 drug detectives responded to the location and located one Marijuana plant growing in the back yard of the residence near a wooded area. A further investigation resulted in a search of the home. Detectives located a small quantity of Marijuana and articles of drug paraphernalia as a result of the search.

Upon further investigation Tracy Nelson, mother of a 14 year old juvenile, and her boyfriend, John Moore, both residence of this location, were determined to be supplying and smoking Marijuana with the juvenile. Detectives determined that the juvenile was the main individual responsible for cultivating the Marijuana plant however the adults were aware of the operation.

All three were arrested and transported to the McCracken County Sheriff's Department where the Department Of Juvenile Services were contacted. The juvenile was later transported to the McCracken County Detention Center and the adults were lodged in the McCracken County Regional Jail.

Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia

Facilitation To Cultivation Of Marijuana Under 5 Plants

 

ARRESTED: Nelson, Tracy 39 years of age

Of Poole Road

 

CHARGES: Unlawful Transaction With A Minor 2nd Degree

Possession Of Marijuana Under 8 Ounces

Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia

Facilitation To Cultivation Of Marijuana Under 5 Plants

 

The juvenile was arrested and charges with Cultivating Marijuana Under 5 Plants.

 

Unlawful Transaction With A Minor In The Second Degree is a Class D Felony and punishable up to 5 years in prison.
