Ongoing drug investigation leads to additional arrest

McCracken County Sheriff Department Drug Detectives conducted an undercover operation on 09/09/08 which lead to the arrest of Cornell Ja'Shon Holland. Holland was arrested after detectives planned and carried out a covert operation which entailed Holland receiving seven (7) pounds of Marijuana from undercover officers on the parking lot of a business on Irvin Cobb Drive. As payment for the seven pounds of Marijuana Holland gave officers $3000.00 dollars in US Currency along with 26 grams of Crack Cocaine.

Throughout this investigation detectives were also conducting surveillance on others that were believed to be involved in the conspiracy. After further investigation ensued detectives obtained sufficient information to place charges against Christopher E. Robinson (AKA Hi C). The investigation revealed that Robinson had fronted majority of the $3000.00 that was used by Holland to obtain the 7 pounds of Marijuana.

On 09/17/08 a search warrant was obtained for Robinson's residence which was located at 137 Alben Barkley Drive. Detectives conducted surveillance on the residence until Robinson was observed leaving and he was subsequently stopped at South 25th Street and Alabama Street. Robinson was then transported to his residence where the warrant was executed. A search of Robinson person revealed an undisclosed amount of US currency along with his cell phone which investigators had determined to have been used during the course of past drug transactions, including the transaction that occurred on 09/09/08 with Holland. A search of the residence revealed a small amount of Marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Detectives have also revealed that others have played a role in this conspiracy and believe that additional arrest will be made in the near future.

Robinson is currently on Felony probation for firearm enhanced possession of Cocaine, Marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.
