 An accident on Husbands Road at 1600 hours resulted in injuries to a Paducah man, and a couple from Calvert City.
  Richard Tomassi  age 42, of Calvert City was traveling North on Husbands Road, South of Paducah on a 2008 Yamaha Motorcycle. When he rounded the curve his front tire started to slide due to gravel on the Road surface, causing him to lay the motorcycle down. Mr.Tomassi was carrying a  passenger  with him, a Carol Ulrich from Calvert City. The motorcycle slid into the path of William King age 73 of Boaz. Mr. King and his wife Jeanette King were traveling South on Husbands Road in a 2006 Ford Taurus.  Mr. King noticed a motorcycle starting to loose control in his lane of traffic as he rounded the curve. Mr. King tried to avoid the collision but could not. Mr. Tomassi's motorcycle slid under the front of Mr. King's vehicle. Mr. King, Mr. Tomassi and Ms. Ulrich were transported to Western Baptist Hospital. Mr. King's wife  who was wearing her seatbelt was not injured. Mr. King who also was wearing his seatbelt, suffered minor injuries, from the air bag. Mr. Tomassi and Ms. Ulrich were flown by Helicopter to Vanderbilt Hospital with multiple injuries. Mr. Tomassi nor Ms. Ulrich were not wearing helmets. Sheriff's Deputies were assisted at the scene by Hendron Fire Department, and Mercy Regional Ambulance. The accident was investigated by Deputy Steve Croft.
