Accident Injury on John L. Puryear Drive
    At approx. 1145 hrs this date a vehicle accident accured at the intersection of John L. Puryear Drive and the I-24 off/on ramps. A vehicle driven by Edward A. Pina 38 of Paducah was traveling south on John L. Puryear Drive.Mr. Pina failed to stop at the red light striking a vehicle driven by Barbara N.Bell 64 of Ledbetter. Mrs. Bell was traveling east making a left hand turn onto John L. Puryear Drive. Mr. Pina was transported to Lourdes Hospital, and Mrs. Bell was transported to Western Baptist Hospital for treatment from injuries substained in the collision. The Sheriff Department was assisted by Reidland Farley Fire, and Mercy Regional Ambulance. The accident was investigated by Deputy Kevin Carter.
