Paducah Man Arrested On Cocaine Trafficking Charges

 

The McCracken County Sheriff Department Drug Division received information alleging a Paducah man being involved in Cocaine trafficking. Following a several month long investigation detectives obtained and executed a search warrant at the David Robinson Jr residence, located at 1216 Salem Street in Paducah at 07:19 on 10/04/08.

Upon entering the residence detectives discovered it to be occupied by Robinson Jr. and his girlfriend Kashia Brown. Upon searching the residence detectives located two separate bags of Crack Cocaine in Robinson's pants which were laying on a chair in the living room. One bag weighed approximately one ounce and the other bag contained 70 (seventy) different individuals baggies of Crack Cocaine and weighed just under an ounce total. All together the Cocaine had an estimated street value of approximately $5600.00. Detectives also located an undisclosed amount of US Currency, Marijuana, Paraphernalia, and other related items. Detectives also located a bag of Marijuana on Brown's person.

The seventy individual bags are commonly referred to as a "twenty rock", essentially meaning they weigh approximately .2 grams each and have a street value of $20.00 each.

During interviews following Robinson's arrest he admitted to detectives that he had been selling Cocaine for the past several months.

Robinson and Brown were both arrested and transported to the McCracken County Regional Jail.

CHARGES: Trafficking In Controlled Substance 1st Degree Cocaine

Possession Of A Controlled Substance In The First Degree Cocaine 2nd Offense

Possession Of Marijuana Under 8 Ounces

Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia 2nd Offense

 

Trafficking In A Controlled Substance Cocaine and second offense possession of Cocaine is a Class C Felony and carries a penalty of up to 10 years in prison. The Paducah Police Department assisted with the execution of the search warrant.
