Single vehicle accident on Oaks Road sends two to Hospital.


At approx. 2344 hrs this date a vehicle accident occurred at 1715 Oaks Rd. The driver of a 1994 Chevrolet S-10 was southbound on Oaks Rd. when he failed to negotiate a right hand curve and ran off the left shoulder of the roadway. The vehicle then struck an earth embankment/culvert causing it to become airborne. The vehicle then overturned ejecting one occupant. The second occupant remained in the vehicle. Both occupants were transported to Lourdes Hospital where one remained in stable condition and the other in critical condition and later air lifted to another trauma center. Mercy Regional Ambulance and Reidland Farley Fire assisted at the scene.

At this time it appears the operator of the vehicle is a Joseph K. Hannan 27 of Paducah Ky. and the passenger is a Adam R. Norton 24 of Gilbertsville Ky. The accident is still under investigation.
