On 01/20/2009 at approximately 22:53 hours, McCracken County Sheriff's Deputies received a tip that Joseph A. Rastrelli of Kaufman , TX was at 5203 Ogilvie Ave, Paducah, Kentucky. Rastrelli was wanted out of Austin, TX for a technical violation of his felony parole. When deputies arrived at the residence there was a brief hesitation before anyone came to the door. Upon answering the door, the occupants of the residence were asked where Rastrelli was located and they denied knowing him. Deputies heard something moving around in an upstairs bedroom that sounded like something fell to the floor. Deputies approached the upstairs bedroom and located Rastrelli cowering under the bed trying to hide. Rastrelli was arrested on the fugitive warrant without incident and lodged in the McCracken County Regional Jail where he is currently awaiting extradition back to Texas. The Sheriff's Department was assisted by the Paducah Police Department in serving the warrant.
