COLLISION WITH INJURY ON HOVEKAMP ROAD.         

 Today at 1501, Hovekamp Road was closed for one hour due to a collision. 46 year old Victor Buchanan of Paducah was East bound on Hovenkamp Road on his 2003 Kawasaki motorcycle. 58 year old Brenda Perry also of Paducah, operating a 2001 Ford Focus was West bound on Hovekamp Road. Perry was making a left turn into a drive way at the time of impact. Both operators were transported to Western Baptist Hospital. Perry was complaining of chest pain and Buchanan has severe injuries. Buchanan was operating the motorcycle without a helmet. The collision is still under investigation by the McCracken County Sheriff's Department. Assisting at the scene were Mercy Regional and Reidland - Farley Fire Department.
