On February 8, 2009 the McCracken County Sheriff's Department received a call to respond to the residence of James Dodge, West Paducah. The call was in reference to a burglary, theft of a credit card and cash. A report was made and assigned later to the McCracken County Sheriff's Detective Division. After a two day investigation by the Detective Division a female suspect was asked to come to the Sheriff's Office. The suspect was April R. Speer of Dana Drive, West Paducah. She was interviewed and did confess on 02/11/09 to the charges. Some of the items she purchased with the stolen card were recovered. She was charged with Burglary 2nd. and Criminal Poss. Of a Forged Inst. 2nd. She was taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail. Bond for the Burglary is $5000.00 cash and bond for the Criminal Poss. Of a Forged Inst.  is $5000. 00 cash, for a total of $10,000.00.
