During the last several weeks the Sheriff's Department has investigated several thefts, to include thefts from motor vehicles. These thefts occurred in various locations within the county. The public is encouraged to contact the Sheriff's Department at 444-4719 or Crime Stoppers at 443-TELL with any information about these crimes. The public is also encouraged, as always, to observe basic common sense measures with regard to the security of their homes and vehicles. These measures include, but are not limited to, locking doors on vehicles, outbuildings and residences, making sure outdoor security lights are in working order and being observant of suspicious activity in your neighborhood.
