On this date, Heather L. Mason, 22, was charged with Theft By Unlawful Taking O/300.

On or about 02/27/09, Mason, who was employed with a cleaning service, was cleaning Energy Fitness Health Club when she stole a cell phone, IPOD MP3 player and approximately $469 in cash.

Upon being notified by Energy Fitness management that the theft occurred, the owner of the cleaning business confronted Mason, who was the only person working that night. Upon confronting Mason, the cleaning business owner determined that Mason was the individual responsible for the theft and was able to obtain the cell phone and IPOD from Mason.

Upon questioning Mason, detectives discovered that Mason did steal the cell phone, IPOD and cash.

Mason was lodged in the McCracken Regional Jail.

Suspect: Heather L. Mason, 22, State Route 339 South, Mayfield, Ky.

Charge: Theft By Unlawful Taking O/300
