Man arrested after assaulting his wife.

Micheal Grief 44 years old of West Paducah was arrested after he assaulted his wife with a branch and then rammed the vehicle she was riding in several times with his pick-up truck. Mrs. Grief told officers that her husband blocked the driveway to the residence she and another lady was leaving, she said when she got out of the vehicle to confront him he struck her with a branch causing visible abrasions to her face. She said she fled back to the vehicle she had been riding in at which time he rammed his pick-up truck into them several times causing damage to the vehicle. Mrs. Grief told officers her 5 year old son was in the truck with him the during the incident. Mr. Grief fled the scene prior to officers arrival, he was located at Heath Elementary School where he had went to pick up the couples other child. Officers were concerned for both children due to the nature of the incident. School personnel had been notified so they could take any steps necessary to protect the other child from potential harm as well. Mr. Grief was detained at the school by the resource officer until deputies could arrive. He was arrested without incident. The couples five year old child that had been in the vehicle during the incident was unharmed and turned over to school personnel until the mother could arrive and pick up the children. Mr. Grief was charged with 3 counts of Wanton Endangerment 1st, a Class D felony and 1 count of Assault 4th, Class A Misd. He was lodged in the McCracken County Jail
