Paducah Man injured, son arrested after starting fight at Pure Country

Sheriff's deputies responded to a disturbance call around 10:45 p.m. late Saturday night March 28th at Pure Country bar on Clarks River Road in Paducah. According to an incident report made by Deputy Steve Croft, Randal Pitt 46 of Paducah and his son Randal Pitt Jr. 27 also of Paducah went to the bar and attempted to gain entry, both had been drinking and were intoxicated. Witnesses' stated to officers the door persons at Pure Country refused to let the younger Pitt in due to the fact he did not have any identification, both gentlemen became belligerent and started arguing with security. Josh Green 30 of Paducah told deputies the two men attempted to push their way into the bar after being repeatedly told the younger Pitt could not enter. Josh Green is an employee of the bar, he told deputies he put his hands on the younger Pitt and escorted him out of the bar, he then told deputies that Pitts father came up from behind him and grabbed him pinning him to a vehicle next to the entrance. Green told deputies he struck Pitt Sr. once causing him to let go and fall to the ground. Pitt Jr. then started fighting with several other employees as well. Pitt senior was treated at the scene by Mercy Ambulance for a cut over the eye and was transported to Western Baptist Hospital. Mr. Pitt at the time refused to make a police report, Randal Pitt Jr. refused to cooperate at the scene and was arrested for alcohol intoxication. Mr. Green stated he was not injured in the altercation and also declined needing a report at the time of the incident.

The incident is still under investigation to determine if additional charges are necessary.
