On April 20, 2009 Robert Baltimore, age 43, was taken into custody on charges stemming from the March 12, 2009 theft of a woman's purse from her automobile at Energy Fitness in Paducah, KY. Baltimore then used a stolen credit card from the purse at the Maxfuel on Lone Oak Road to purchase various items. Baltimore attempted to use the stolen card at another local business, however the card had been de-activated by that time. This arrest was made possible by a tip to the the Crime Stoppers Line at 443-TELL. The McCracken County Sheriff's Department would like to use this case as an example of the results that can be obtained when citizens get involved with the Crime Stoppers program.
