Re: Brookport Man Arrested in Drug Sting

On 05-07-2009 McCracken County Sheriff's Detectives arrested 23yr old Carbon Crowe of Brookport IL and charged him with second offense trafficking in marijuana over eight ounces. On 05-07-2009 Sheriff's Detectives received information alleging that Crowe was wanting to purchase some Marijuana. An undercover agent with the McCracken County Sheriff's Department contacted Crowe. Crowe inquired about possibly purchasing one pound of marijuana from the agent during their contact. An agreement was reached for the agent to meet Crowe at 2300 North 8th Street in Paducah and sell him a pound of marijuana for $800. On that same date at approximately 5:56 pm Crowe was observed arriving in a 1996 Nissan Pickup truck. Crowe paid the undercover agent $800 and took possession of one pound of marijuana. Detectives moved in and placed Crowe under arrest as he was attempting to weigh the marijuana.

Crowe was allegedly charged in the fall of 2008 in Illinois with Marijuana trafficking make this a second offense.
