Re: Paducah Man Jailed on Morphine and Marijuana Trafficking

On 05-11-09 detectives with the McCracken County Sheriff's Department, assisted by the Marshall County Sheriff's Detectives executed a search warrant at 612 Elizabeth Street in Paducah and placed Robert S. Morris under arrest on drug trafficking charges. Detectives conducted a investigation that led to undercover agents purchasing Morphine pills and Marijuana (which occurred within 1000 yards of a school) from Morris over the past two weeks. On 05-11-2009 at approximately 6:33 am detectives executed at search warrant at 612 Elizabeth Street and found the residence to occupied by Morris, two adult females and two small children. During a search of the residence detectives seized an undisclosed amount of US currency that is believed to be proceeds from the drugs Morris was selling. The investigation revealed that Morris had been selling Marijuana and painkillers for the past approximate three months. Morris was transported to the McCracken County Regional Jail. Charges: Trafficking in 1st degree controlled substance-Morphine (A Class "C" Felony punishable by 5-10 years in prison), Trafficking in controlled substance within 1000 yards of a school-Marijuana (A Class "D" Felony punishable by 1-5 years in prison)
