Today at 1612 Husband Road was reduced to one lane due to a injury accident. 40 year old Timothy Armstrong of Hickory was East bound operating a 1999 Ford F-250 pickup. Armstrong was stopped in traffic waiting to make a left turn onto Lydon Road when he was struck in the rear. That vehicle, a 2002 Mercury Sable was operated by 49 year old John Howell of Paducah. Howell and his passenger, 17 year old tiffany Gardner were both transported to Lourdes Hospital by Mercy Regional. Howell was complaining of injury to his right foot and Gardner to her chest area due to the seat belt.

The Sheriff's Department was assisted at the scene by Reidland - Farley Fire Department.
