Sheriff's Deputies Recover Stolen 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe

 

McCracken County Sheriff's Deputies recovered a 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe that had been reported stolen on May 26th from a Ledbetter area home. Thursday night (May 28th at about 7:30PM, McCracken Sheriff's Deputies found the stolen SUV in a field (stuck in the mud) off of Meredith Road (between Cairo Road and Noble Road).

The vehicle was damaged, missing it's stereo system, and 22 inch chrome rims and tires. The stolen wheels and tires had been replaced on the Tahoe with others.

Sheriff's detectives responded to the scene and processed the vehicle for possible evidence collection. The Ledbetter resident where this vehicle was stolen from reported to the Livingston County Sheriff's Department that at about 2:00AM Tuesday morning, two (2) men kicked in her door and stole her purse. At about 5:00AM that same morning, someone stole the Chevrolet Tahoe from the driveway.

Sheriff's detectives are following up on several leads in this case.
