At approximately 1750 hours this date a mini van driven by 56 year old Ronald Potterbaum of Metropolis, Illinois was East bound on Clarksriver Road. The driver of the mini van was approaching the red light at the intersection of Jim R Drive and Clarks River Road when he struck an SUV driven by 39 year old Ginger Colson of Paducah, Kentucky. Mrs. Colson was stopping at the red light which had just turned green when she was struck from behind by Mr. Potterbaum. Mr. Potterbaum said he believed Mrs. Colson was continuing East bound and did not realized she was still stopped at the red light. Mr. Potterbaum and his passenger were transported to Western Baptist Hospital by Mercy EMS for treatment of their injuries. Members of the Redland Farley Fire Department assisted at the collision scene.
