Residential Burglary Suspects Apprehended
On 05/27/09, Wallace Bateman reported a burglary to his residence (St. Andrews Drive) while he and his wife slept.
According to Mr. Bateman, sometime between 1 a.m. and 7 a.m., on 05/27/09, unknown individual(s) gained entry through a rear door, obtained his vehicle keys and stole his 2008 Toyota Avalon.
Mr. Bateman also discovered two sets of golf clubs missing from the garage.
Later that afternoon, in Clarksville, Tn., a local resident reported that his license plate had been stolen and replaced with the license plate from Mr. Bateman's stolen Toyota.
On 05/28/09, with the assistance of Connie Waldridge of the Paducah Police Department, the two gold golf club sets were located at a Clarksville, Tn. Pawn shop.
After contacting the Clarksville pawn shop, information was obtained regarding the suspect, David Moss.
Detectives contacted the Clarksville Police Department and asked that they observe for the stolen vehicle in the area of the suspects residence. A short time later, officers located the vehicle parked near the suspects listed address. The vehicle had a the license plate that was reported stolen by the Tn. Resident. Moss was not located.
On this date, David G. Moss, 27, Clarksville, Tn. and Heather N. Smith, 23, Cloverdale Rd. Paducah, Ky. were charged with burglary and theft charges.
The investigation revealed that Moss and Smith were responsible for the burglary and thefts at the Bateman residence.

Suspect: Heather N. Smith, 23, Cloverdale Rd. Paducah, Ky.
Charges: Complicity to Burglary 2nd Degree, Complicity to Theft By Unlawful Taking O/300 (Auto), Complicity to Theft By Unlawful Taking O/300 (Golf Clubs)
