INJURY ACCIDENT CLARK'S RIVER ROAD
Today at 1533 Clark's River Road was reduced to one East bound lane due to a injury accident. 25 year old Jeffrey Stone of Paducah was West bound operating a 1998 Ford Taurus. Stone states he tried to pass another vehicle that was throwing water from the road onto his windshield. When he went to pass that vehicle changed lanes. He moved into the turning lane to avoid a collision and lost control due to the wet road. He stopped his vehicle in the East bound lane and was struck by another vehicle. That vehicle, a 2000 Hyundai Tiburon was operated by 24 year old Leslie Coykendall of Paducah. Coykendall was East bound and tried to avoid the collision but struck the vehicle. Coykendall was transported by Mercy Reginal to Western Baptist complaining of back pain. A passenger in that vehicle, 41 year old Aurther Coykendall Jr. of Paducah was also transported to Baptist complaining of pain in his abdomen. Another passenger in that vehicle was 6 year old Samantha King of Paducah was transported to Baptist due to a head injury. Stone was transported to Lourdes complaining of neck pain.
The Sheriff's Department was assisted at the scene by Reidland - Farley Fire Department.
