Wanted man captured after injury accident.
 
 
 
 
    Ethan Isaac Thompson, 25 of Paducah, was found to have active warrants from Iron County, Mo. after he was involved in a two car injury accident at the intersection of Old US 45 and Lebanon Church Road.  Mr. Thompson was being sought for charges of passing a bag check under $500.00 (Misdemeanor)  and criminal damage to property (Felony).  He was lodged in the McCracken County Regional Jail under a $6000.00 bond and is currently awaiting extradition to Missouri.  Mr. Thompson was the driver of one of the vehicles involved and the warrants were discovered after a check of his driver's license was conducted.  Additionally, Mr. Thompson was found to be driving on a suspended Mississippi driver's license and was cited for this offense.
 
  At 9:16 PM, the Sheriff's Office received a call to an injury accident at the intersection of Old US 45 and Lebanon Church Road.  Upon arrival Deputies discovered that a Chevrolet pickup truck traveling on Old US 45 had struck a Honda Passport that had pulled into its path from Lebanon Church.  The driver of the pickup, Justin Stamper, 27, of Paducah stated that he noticed the SUV slow at the stop sign on Lebanon Church and then continue across US 45.  Mr. Stamper attempted to avoid the collision by steering, but was unsuccessful.  He was complaining of soreness to his chest and ankle, but refused medical attention at the scene.  His passenger, 25 year old Shelley Futrell, of Mayfield was taken to Western Baptist for apparent minor injuries. 
 
  Mr. Thompson also received treatment for apparent minor injuries.  He was taken into custody after he was released from Lourdes Hospital.  His passenger, Jerrin Brien, 27, of Paducah refused medical treatment from Mercy Regional EMS at the scene.  He stated that the vehicle he was riding in was West bound on Lebanon Church Road and that it slowed, but did not stop at the intersection of US 45.  The driver, Mr. Thompson stated that he did not remember the events of the accident.
