The McCracken County Sheriff's Department is investigating the armed robbery of the Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant on Lone Oak Road. The robbery occurred at approximately 9:30p.m. Saturday night when a black male wearing a sock hat and large sunglasses entered the building through a side door, pointed a handgun at the manager and demanded money. The manager complied with the suspects demands and no one was injured. The suspect was described as being approximately 6'1" tall and approximately 220lbs to 240lbs with a dark complexion. The suspect left the store on foot with an undetermined amount of money. The investigation is on going and more information will be provided as it becomes available. Callers may remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward.
