On 06/23/2009 at approximately 6:44 pm the McCracken County Sheriff's Department Drug Division arrested three men on conspiracy to traffic in marijuana over eight ounces and another man on outstanding warrants. The arrests were a result of a joint investigation conducted by the McCracken County Sheriff's Department, the Marshall County Sheriff's Department, the Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force, the Ballard County Sheriff's Department, and the Kentucky State Police.
On 06/22/2009 McCracken County Sheriff's Detectives learned that a large marijuana transaction would be taking place in the Reidland area during the afternoon hours of 06/23/2009. The investigation revealed that several men would be traveling to Paducah from the Eddyville area to purchase the marijuana. On 06/23/2009 detectives setup surveillance on parking lot of a closed Paducah business located at 7020 Benton Road in Reidland. Detectives observed three vehicles arrive on the parking lot occupied by several different individuals. Detectives and Sheriff's Deputies moved in after it appeared that a transaction had taken place. Detectives conducted a search of the men and their vehicles. A search one of the vehicles revealed over four pounds of marijuana and approximately $4,000 in US currency that was believed to be used to purchase the marijuana. Detectives also recovered a small amount of marijuana from Green and Wynn's persons. The investigation revealed that James D. Wynn 21, of Paducah was contacted by James R. Crenshaw II 25, of Cadiz via cell phone. Crenshaw allegedly asked to purchase four pounds of marijuana from Wynn. Crenshaw traveled to Paducah from Eddyville in a Chevy Impala with Glenn E. Pickett Jr. 41, of Frankfort and Marcus D. Green 25, of Frankfort. Once arriving at 7020 Benton Road Marcus Green got of his vehicle and took possession of four pounds of marijuana. Detectives arrested Wynn, Crenshaw, and Green on conspiracy to trafficking in marijuana over eight ounces but less than five pounds. Glenn Pickett Jr was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Franklin County Kentucky for contempt of court.
James Wynn and James Crenshaw have prior charges for trafficking in a controlled substance that enhanced these charges to a 2nd offense.

Charges: Conspiracy to trafficking in marijuana over eight ounces but less that five pounds second offense (A class "C" felony punishable by 5-10 years in prison)
Arrested: Marcus D. Green 25, of Ridgeview Lane Cadiz Ky
Charges: Conspiracy to trafficking in marijuana over eight ounces but less that five pounds first offense (A class "C" felony punishable by 1-5 years in prison) and Possession of Marijuana
Arrested: James R. Crenshaw II 25, of Candy Drive Cadiz Ky
Charges: Conspiracy to trafficking in marijuana over eight ounces but less that five pounds second offense (A class "C" felony punishable by 5-10 years in prison)
Arrested: Glenn Pickett Jr. 41, of Marlowe Court Frankfort Ky
Charges: Contempt of court
Detectives also seized a 1996 Chevy Impala Driven By Green
